Like most adventures, it all began with an idea. This time, however, the idea came from the mind of Jefferson's Trey Zoeller.

"What if we recreate bourbon's maiden voyage?" Trey thought, while sipping a glass of Jefferson's finest...

From there, the idea blossomed into reality. We've got the bourbon (two barrels of the stuff!), we've got the boat, and we've got the plan. Over the summer, the two barrels will be floated down to New Orleans from Louisville. From New Orleans, the barrels will then make their way to Key West, and then on up to New York. The river, delta, and ocean will all impart their climate and motion into the flavor of the bourbon, creating a unique taste for today's bourbon market.

Along the way, you'll be able to keep up with the journey via this page, and also through social media. Look for Jefferson's Journey on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, and more.
